D2 Coilovers Rally asphalt MITSUBISHI LANCER FORTIS (07~17)
D2 Coilovers for trackdays and tarmac rally!
This setup is the step above D2's sports kit. D2 uses the same setting on the shock absorber as is available in sports kit, but here D2 has mounted a different balance on the springs. This kit usually gives a more neutral character than most setups of coilovers that are slightly under-controlled in character. While sports kit has an incredibly nice setting for the street and trackdays, this kit is more suitable for the experienced driver, use it for track racing at enthusiast level or rally on asphalt. This setup provides very nice steering features and the car rolls easily. Since it is the same length of stroke as on the street kit and sports kit, this kit also works on a street. But the setting makes it best suited to an enthusiast car.
It has the top mounts from racing shock absorbers which means a traditional pillowball construction with a distinct feel. You can adjust all four shock absorbers individually in 36 levels. You then have the opportunity to balance over and understeer your car. You can have a normal mode that you can easily adjust harder if necessary.
The height can be adjusted steplessly by threading the lower mounting up or down on the shock absorber body. This provides a perfect reconciliation between the spring and the shock absorber no matter what height you have on the car (unlike coilovers where the height is adjusted on the spring).
Top Mounts:
(P): This top mount has a pillowball construction. It's standard on our racing kits. It gives a distinct feeling but lacks some of the comfort of which is found in P+ and R. This is usually camber adjustable.
(A): On cars with A-arms construction in the front, the top mount is called A. This design is considered to be the best construction car design on cars, but is also more expensive to manufacture. Therefore, it is not so common on standard cars. The Camber angle is adjusted only on the link arm and not in the top mounts.
(OE): Some cars have a special design in the top mounts which force D2 to adapt its top mount to the car's design, this lacks camber adjustment and is called (OE).
See which top mounts that are available for your model under the specifications (you can see them under the Add to Cart button).
